This initial warm up is followed by more complex movement material with a dynamic focus on the concept of ‘attack and release’. The technique allows joints to relax and energy to flow with maximum efficiency. Jose often uses counts to influence the dynamic of the movement and spinning to engage the core. Jose is strongly influenced by Asian movement forms and martial arts.

Jose has taught professional classes and workshops for Impulstanz, Circuit-Est Centre Coregraphique, NorrDans, Skanes Dansteater, Akram Khan Co, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Shobana Jeyasingh Dance, T.R.A.S.H., Charleroi/Danses, Dance4, Deda, Danza Valencia, Greenwich Dance Agency, Danceworks, and The Place. He has been a guest lecturer at London Contemporary Dance School, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, University of East London, University of Surrey, Centro Andaluz de Danza and Conservatorio de Granada.

Jose holds a Yoga Alliance teaching qualification and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Dance Studies from L.C.D.S.
